Creamy Cajun Chicken Pasta (Print Version)

Tender chicken and fettuccine tossed in a velvety Cajun-spiced Parmesan cream sauce, ready in just 30 minutes.

# Ingredients:

→ Main

01 - 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, sliced or cubed
02 - 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning blend
03 - 8 ounces fettuccine or preferred pasta
04 - 1 cup heavy cream or half-and-half
05 - 1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese

# Steps to Follow:

01 - Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the fettuccine or pasta of your choice and cook according to the package instructions, typically for 8-12 minutes, until al dente. Drain the pasta and set aside, reserving a small amount of the cooking liquid in case the sauce needs to be thinned.
02 - Heat a drizzle of olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the sliced or cubed chicken and season with Cajun seasoning. Cook for 6-8 minutes, stirring occasionally, until fully cooked and no longer pink in the center.
03 - Reduce the heat to medium-low and pour in the heavy cream or half-and-half. Whisk in the grated Parmesan cheese until smooth and creamy. Simmer the sauce for a few minutes while stirring until it thickens to the desired consistency.
04 - Add the cooked pasta to the skillet with the creamy Cajun sauce. Toss until the pasta is evenly coated. If necessary, thin the sauce with a splash of the reserved pasta cooking liquid.

# Additional Notes:

01 - Opt for a well-balanced Cajun seasoning blend containing paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne, and black pepper for the best flavor.
02 - Whisk Parmesan cheese thoroughly into the hot cream to ensure a smooth sauce without clumps.
03 - Garnish with freshly chopped parsley or green onions for additional freshness.
