Warm and Cozy Snickerdoodle Cobbler (Print Version)

A comforting dessert with layers of cinnamon-spiced batter and caramelized brown sugar, topped with a sweet cinnamon crunch.

# Ingredients:

→ Base

01 - 1/3 cup unsalted butter, melted
02 - 3/4 cup whole milk
03 - 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
04 - 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
05 - 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
06 - 2 1/4 teaspoons baking powder
07 - 3/4 teaspoon salt
08 - 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon

→ Filling

09 - 1 1/2 cups brown sugar, packed
10 - 1 1/2 cups hot water

→ Topping

11 - 1/4 cup granulated sugar
12 - 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

# Steps to Follow:

01 - Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Evenly spread melted butter across the bottom of a 9×13-inch baking pan. In a large bowl, whisk together milk, vanilla extract, and granulated sugar until smooth. Add flour, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon, mixing gently until combined without overmixing.
02 - Spoon the batter evenly over the melted butter without stirring. Generously sprinkle the brown sugar over the batter to create a caramelized filling.
03 - Carefully pour hot water evenly over the batter and sugar mixture. Do not stir. This step creates steam, ensuring a moist cobbler.
04 - Bake in the preheated oven for 30–35 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and edges are set. A toothpick inserted into the center should come out with a few moist crumbs.
05 - While the cobbler is still hot, mix granulated sugar and cinnamon for the topping. Sprinkle the mixture evenly over the cobbler’s surface, allowing it to slightly melt into the crust.
06 - Let the cobbler cool for 10–15 minutes before serving. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream, if desired.

# Additional Notes:

01 - You can substitute milk with non-dairy options like almond or oat milk to make it dairy-free.
02 - Adding sliced apples, pears, or nuts can enhance the cobbler’s flavor and texture.
03 - Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to four days or freeze for up to two months without the topping.
