Tiramisu Brownies (Print Version)

Fudgy chocolate brownies with coffee notes, topped with creamy mascarpone frosting and dusted with cocoa powder.

# Ingredients:

→ For the brownies

01 - 170 g unsalted butter
02 - 255 g dark chocolate, chopped
03 - 3 large eggs
04 - 250 g granulated sugar
05 - 150 g all-purpose flour
06 - 0.5 teaspoon salt
07 - 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
08 - 2 tablespoons espresso powder dissolved in 1 tablespoon hot water

→ For the mascarpone cream

09 - 225 g mascarpone cheese, cold
10 - 240 ml heavy whipping cream, cold
11 - 45 g powdered sugar
12 - 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
13 - 60 ml amaretto liqueur (optional)
14 - Cocoa powder for dusting

# Steps to Follow:

01 - Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F) and line an 8-inch square pan with parchment paper.
02 - Melt butter and dark chocolate, then mix with eggs, sugar, flour, salt, vanilla, and espresso. Pour batter into the pan and bake.
03 - Whip cream to stiff peaks. Combine mascarpone, sugar, vanilla, and amaretto. Fold in whipped cream and spread over cooled brownies.
04 - Dust with cocoa powder and refrigerate for at least 1 hour before slicing.

01 - Chilling helps the mascarpone layer set and makes slicing cleaner.
02 - For extra coffee flavor, lightly brush baked brownies with cooled espresso before topping with cream.
