05 - 2 tablespoons soy sauce
06 - 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
07 - 1 teaspoon brown sugar
08 - 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice
09 - 1/2 teaspoon chili flakes or 1 minced Thai chili
10 - 1 cup fresh Thai basil leaves, chopped

→ Roll wrappers and optional garnishes

11 - 8 to 10 rice paper wrappers
12 - 1/2 cup fresh mint leaves (optional)
13 - 1/2 cup cilantro leaves (optional)
14 - 1/4 cup sliced green onion (optional)
15 - 1/4 cup julienned carrots or cucumbers (optional)
16 - 1/4 cup dipping sauce (soy-lime or chili-garlic blend)

# Steps to Follow:

01 - Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat. Sauté garlic and shallot until fragrant.
02 - Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula.
03 - Stir in soy sauce, oyster sauce, brown sugar, and chili flakes. Simmer for 2–3 minutes.
04 - Add lime juice and chopped Thai basil. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
05 - Fill a shallow plate with warm water. Arrange fillings, herbs, and wrappers nearby.
06 - Dip one rice paper wrapper in warm water for 5–10 seconds and place it on a clean surface.
07 - Add a portion of beef filling, herbs, and optional veggies to the bottom of the wrapper.
08 - Fold the bottom of the wrapper over the filling, tuck in the sides, and roll tightly.
09 - Repeat with remaining wrappers and filling until all rolls are made.
10 - Slice rolls in half and serve with dipping sauce on the side.

# Additional Notes:

01 - Don’t soak rice paper too long—5 to 10 seconds is enough.
02 - Cool the beef filling slightly before rolling to avoid tearing the wrapper.
03 - Use a damp towel to keep finished rolls fresh until serving.
