Strawberry Cream Puffs (Print Version)

Flaky pastry hearts filled with strawberry jam, fresh berries, and sweet cream, finished with a chocolate drizzle.

# Ingredients:

01 - 400g puff pastry
02 - 100g fresh strawberries
03 - 100ml whipping cream sweetened with icing sugar
04 - 8 teaspoons strawberry jam
05 - 1 tablespoon white cocoa syrup
06 - 2 tablespoons icing sugar, for sprinkling
07 - Melted chocolate, for drizzling

# Steps to Follow:

01 - Cut hearts or rectangles out of the puff pastry. Use the full 400g pastry for hearts or half for rectangles. Save the offcuts for later use as a pie base.
02 - Brush eggwash over the top of the cut pastry shapes.
03 - Place the prepared pastries in the oven and bake until golden and fully cooked.
04 - Slice the baked pastry shapes open to prepare for filling.
05 - Spoon 1 teaspoon of strawberry jam into the bottom half of each pastry.
06 - Pipe the sweetened whipping cream, mixed with white cocoa syrup, on top of the strawberry jam.
07 - Place freshly sliced strawberries on top of the whipped cream.
08 - Close the top portion of the pastry over the filling.
09 - Dust the assembled pastries with icing sugar and drizzle melted chocolate over the top. Serve and enjoy.
