Southern Banana Cobbler Delight (Print-Friendly Version)

A warm, comforting Southern dessert featuring sweet bananas in a cinnamon-spiced batter topped with a golden buttery crust.

# Ingredients List:

01 - 4 ripe bananas
02 - 1 cup sugar
03 - 1/4 cup butter
04 - 1 cup all-purpose flour
05 - 1 cup milk
06 - 2 tsp baking powder
07 - 1 tsp vanilla extract
08 - 1 tsp ground cinnamon
09 - 1/2 tsp nutmeg
10 - Optional: chopped nuts, chocolate chips, extra spices
11 - Garnishes: whipped cream, fresh mint leaves, vanilla ice cream

# How to Make It:

01 - Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
02 - In a large mixing bowl, mash 4 ripe bananas well with a fork until they are mostly smooth, leaving a few small lumps for texture.
03 - Add 1 cup of sugar, 1/4 cup melted butter, and 1 tsp vanilla extract to the mashed bananas. Whisk until the mixture is combined.
04 - In another bowl, mix together 1 cup of all-purpose flour, 2 tsp baking powder, 1 tsp ground cinnamon, and 1/2 tsp nutmeg.
05 - Gradually add the dry ingredients to the banana mixture, alternating with 1 cup of milk. Stir until just combined—don’t overmix!
06 - Pour the batter into a greased baking dish (a 9×13 inch dish works great) and spread it evenly.
07 - Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
08 - Allow the cobbler to cool for a few minutes before serving. Garnish with whipped cream or ice cream, if desired.
