Cheesy Ranch Potatoes Sausage (Print-Friendly Version)

Smoked sausage, potatoes, cheddar, and ranch dressing baked together for a comforting, family-style meal.

01 - 450 g smoked sausage, thinly sliced
02 - 900 g potatoes, diced
03 - 120 g shredded cheddar cheese
04 - 1 packet ranch dressing mix (approx. 28 g)
05 - 120 ml milk
06 - 60 g unsalted butter, melted
07 - 1 medium onion, finely diced
08 - 2 garlic cloves, minced
09 - Salt, to taste
10 - Black pepper, to taste
11 - 30 g green onions, chopped (for garnish)

# How to Make It:

01 - Preheat oven to 190°C.
02 - In a skillet over medium heat, brown the smoked sausage slices. Remove and set aside.
03 - In the same skillet, sauté onion and minced garlic until translucent.
04 - In a large mixing bowl, combine diced potatoes, browned sausage, sautéed onion and garlic, shredded cheddar cheese, ranch dressing mix, milk, melted butter, salt, and black pepper. Mix thoroughly to coat.
05 - Transfer mixture to a greased baking dish and spread evenly.
06 - Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake for 60 minutes.
07 - Remove foil and continue baking for an additional 15 minutes, or until potatoes are tender and the surface is golden brown.
08 - Remove from the oven and garnish with chopped green onions before serving.

# Extra Tips:

01 - For even browning, stir the potato mixture halfway through the initial baking time if desired.
