Cabbage rounds roasted with garlic, herbs, and spices for a rich, caramelized side. Simple and flavorful preparation.

# Ingredients List:

→ Vegetables

01 - 1 large head green or red cabbage

→ Oil and Fats

02 - 3 tablespoons olive oil or melted butter

→ Herbs and Spices

03 - 1 teaspoon garlic powder
04 - 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
05 - 0.5 teaspoon onion powder
06 - 0.5 teaspoon dried thyme
07 - 1 teaspoon salt, adjustable
08 - 0.5 teaspoon black pepper

→ Optional toppings

09 - Grated Parmesan cheese
10 - Red pepper flakes
11 - Fresh parsley, chopped

# How to Make It:

01 - Preheat oven to 200°C (400°F). Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease to prevent sticking.
02 - Remove wilted or damaged outer leaves from the cabbage. Using a sharp chef's knife, slice the cabbage crosswise into 2 cm thick rounds, keeping the core intact to maintain structure.
03 - In a small bowl, combine olive oil, garlic powder, smoked paprika, onion powder, dried thyme, salt, and black pepper. Whisk until homogenous.
04 - Brush both sides of each cabbage steak generously with the seasoned oil mixture, ensuring even coverage.
05 - Place seasoned cabbage steaks in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet, allowing space between each. Roast in the oven for 25 to 30 minutes, flipping once halfway through, until edges are golden and centers are tender.
06 - Transfer roasted cabbage steaks to serving plates. Top as desired with grated Parmesan, red pepper flakes, or fresh parsley. Serve immediately.

# Extra Tips:

01 - For deeply caramelized edges, avoid overcrowding the baking sheet and ensure oven is fully preheated.
