One Pot Creamy Garlic Pasta (Print-Friendly Version)

Creamy garlic pasta cooked in one pot with Parmesan and Italian herbs. Quick, flavorful, and ready in 20 minutes.

# Ingredients List:

→ Pasta

01 - 225 g dried spaghetti, linguine, or penne

→ Base

02 - 15 ml unsalted butter or extra virgin olive oil
03 - 4 cloves garlic, finely minced

→ Liquids

04 - 480 ml whole milk or preferred alternative
05 - 240 ml water or sufficient to just cover pasta

→ Cheese and Seasoning

06 - 75 g freshly grated Parmesan cheese
07 - 0.5 teaspoon fine salt, or to taste
08 - 0.25 teaspoon ground black pepper
09 - 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning blend

→ Optional Additions

10 - 30 g cream cheese or sour cream, for enhanced creaminess
11 - Chopped fresh parsley or basil, for garnish

# How to Make It:

01 - In a large pot or deep skillet, melt the butter or heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1 to 2 minutes, stirring continuously, until aromatic without allowing it to brown.
02 - Add the dry pasta to the pot, then pour in milk and enough water to just barely submerge the pasta. Stir to combine and increase heat to bring the mixture to a gentle boil.
03 - Reduce the heat to a simmer and cook uncovered, stirring frequently, for 8 to 10 minutes or until the pasta reaches an al dente texture and the liquid reduces to form a creamy sauce.
04 - Add the grated Parmesan, salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning to the pot. Stir until the cheese is melted and the sauce thickens. For a richer consistency, blend in cream cheese or sour cream at this stage if desired.
05 - Transfer the creamy pasta to serving bowls and garnish generously with chopped parsley or basil. Serve immediately while hot.

# Extra Tips:

01 - Stir the pasta frequently while simmering to prevent sticking and ensure even cooking.
