One-Pan Sun-dried Tomato Pasta (Print Version)

Creamy angel hair pasta with sun-dried tomatoes and parmesan cheese, all made in one pan in just 15 minutes.

# Ingredients:

01 - 3 tablespoons butter
02 - 3 cloves garlic, minced
03 - 2 cups chicken stock or bone broth
04 - 1/2 cup half and half or whole milk, room temperature
05 - 1 jar (8 oz) sun-dried tomatoes in oil, oil drained
06 - 8 oz angel hair pasta
07 - 1/3 cup parmesan cheese, grated
08 - 2 tablespoons cream cheese, softened (optional)
09 - 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
10 - 1/2 teaspoon freshly cracked pepper
11 - 1/4 teaspoon salt
12 - 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

# Steps to Follow:

01 - In a large skillet over medium-low heat, melt the butter and sauté the garlic for about 1 minute until fragrant.
02 - Pour in the chicken stock, sun-dried tomatoes, and seasonings. Slowly pour in the half and half, then bring the mixture to a gentle boil.
03 - Add the pasta to the skillet, allowing it to sit for 30 seconds until it can be maneuvered into the liquid without breaking. Cook submerged in simmering liquid for about 5 minutes.
04 - Reduce heat to a simmer, and if using, add the cream cheese. Stir until it melts into the sauce.
05 - Continue cooking until the pasta is al dente. Sprinkle with grated parmesan cheese and adjust salt and pepper to taste. Add more chicken stock or half and half if needed for additional sauce.

# Additional Notes:

01 - Spaghetti or bucatini can be used as substitutes for angel hair pasta, but may require extended cooking time.
02 - To reheat, add a splash of chicken stock and/or half and half to rehydrate the pasta before microwaving.
