Bourbon Garlic Cream Steak (Print Version)

Tender steak smothered in a rich bourbon garlic cream sauce with a hint of spice, perfect for special occasions or Halloween dinner.

# Ingredients:

→ For the Steak

01 - 2 ribeye or New York strip steaks (about 1 inch thick)
02 - 2 tablespoons olive oil
03 - Salt and pepper to taste
04 - 2 tablespoons butter
05 - 2 garlic cloves, smashed
06 - Fresh thyme or rosemary (optional)

→ For the Haunted Bourbon Garlic Cream Sauce

07 - 1/4 cup bourbon
08 - 3 garlic cloves, minced
09 - 1 tablespoon butter
10 - 1 cup heavy cream
11 - 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
12 - 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
13 - 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
14 - Salt and pepper to taste
15 - 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
16 - Fresh parsley for garnish

# Steps to Follow:

01 - Pat the steaks dry with paper towels and season generously with salt and pepper. Heat a cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat and add olive oil. Once the oil is hot, sear the steaks for 3-4 minutes per side (for medium-rare), or to your preferred doneness. In the last minute of cooking, add butter, garlic, and fresh herbs (if using), and spoon the butter over the steaks. Remove the steaks from the skillet and let them rest on a plate, loosely covered with foil.
02 - In the same skillet, reduce the heat to medium. Add 1 tablespoon of butter and minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant. Carefully pour in the bourbon and allow it to simmer for 1-2 minutes, letting the alcohol cook off.
03 - Stir in the heavy cream, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper. Let the sauce simmer and thicken for 3-4 minutes. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese and adjust seasoning if needed.
04 - Pour the haunted bourbon garlic cream sauce over the rested steaks and garnish with fresh parsley. Serve hot with your favorite sides.

# Additional Notes:

01 - For a spookier presentation, use a smoky bourbon to enhance the haunted theme of the dish.
02 - You can also substitute ribeye with sirloin for a leaner option.
03 - Serve with mashed potatoes or roasted vegetables for a complete meal.
