Fresh Zesty Tomato Salsa (Print-Friendly Version)

Vibrant, quick-to-make salsa with fresh tomatoes, cilantro and lime juice - perfect for chips, tacos or as a flavorful topping.

# Ingredients List:

01 - 3 ½ cups chopped tomatoes or a 28-ounce can diced tomatoes
02 - ¼ small onion
03 - ⅓ cup fresh cilantro
04 - 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
05 - 1 small jalapeno pepper, seeds removed
06 - ½ teaspoon ground cumin
07 - ½ teaspoon salt
08 - ½ teaspoon black pepper
09 - ½ teaspoon sugar

# How to Make It:

01 - Chop the tomatoes and place them over a strainer for 5 minutes. Discard the liquid to prevent the salsa from being too wet.
02 - Add the drained tomatoes, onion, cilantro, lime juice, jalapeno, ground cumin, salt, black pepper, and sugar to a blender or food processor. Use short pulses to blend to your desired consistency.
03 - Transfer the salsa to a jar and store it in the refrigerator for up to one week.
