In a separate bowl, beat softened cream cheese with sugar until smooth. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition, then blend in vanilla extract.

Carefully spread the cheesecake mixture over the baked brownie base. Reduce oven temperature to 163°C and bake for an additional 50 minutes until center is set.

Allow the cheesecake to cool completely at room temperature before releasing from the pan. Chill thoroughly before slicing. Serve chilled or at room temperature. Optionally garnish with chocolate sauce or fresh berries.
