10 - 30 ml soy sauce
11 - 15 ml rice vinegar
12 - 30 ml hoisin sauce
13 - 15 ml chili sauce (adjust to taste)
14 - 8 g granulated sugar
15 - 1 tablespoon minced garlic
16 - 1 tablespoon minced ginger
17 - 0.5 medium onion, sliced
18 - 1 medium bell pepper, sliced
19 - 1–2 red chilies, sliced (optional)
20 - 15 ml sesame oil
21 - 1 tablespoon chopped green onions, for garnish

# How to Make It:

01 - Slice the beef thinly against the grain to create even strips.
02 - In a mixing bowl, whisk together cornstarch, flour, baking powder, salt, and pepper. Add the egg and water; mix until a smooth batter forms.
03 - Heat vegetable oil in a large wok or deep pan over medium-high heat. Dip beef strips into the batter, ensuring each piece is well coated. Fry in batches for 3–4 minutes until golden and crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels.
04 - In a clean wok or large sauté pan, heat sesame oil over medium-high heat. Add garlic, ginger, sliced onion, and bell pepper. Sauté for 2 minutes until fragrant.
05 - Stir in soy sauce, rice vinegar, hoisin sauce, chili sauce, and sugar. Allow mixture to simmer for 2 minutes to meld flavors.
06 - Add the fried beef strips to the sauce, tossing thoroughly to coat. Stir-fry for 2–3 minutes until beef is heated through and glazed.
07 - Garnish with sliced red chilies and chopped green onions. Serve immediately with steamed rice or noodles as desired.

# Extra Tips:

01 - For a vegetarian adaptation, substitute beef with tofu or cauliflower and fry until crisp.
02 - Adjust the amount of chili sauce and fresh chilies to tailor spiciness.
03 - To make gluten-free, replace all-purpose flour with certified gluten-free flour and verify cornstarch is gluten-free.
04 - Enhance nutritional value by incorporating mushrooms, carrots, or broccoli into the stir-fry step.
