Cinnamon Sugar Baked Peaches (Print Version)

Tender peaches baked with cinnamon, butter and brown sugar for a warm, syrupy dessert that's perfect with ice cream.

# Ingredients:

01 - 4 ripe peaches
02 - 1/4 cup granulated sugar
03 - 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
04 - 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
05 - 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
06 - 1 tablespoon brown sugar, packed
07 - 1/2 teaspoon lemon juice
08 - A pinch of salt

# Steps to Follow:

01 - Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
02 - Cut the peaches in half and remove the pits carefully. If desired, you can leave the skins on or peel them, depending on your preference.
03 - Arrange the peach halves in a baking dish, cut side up.
04 - In a small bowl, combine the granulated sugar, cinnamon, and brown sugar. Stir to mix well.
05 - Drizzle the melted butter and vanilla extract over the peach halves.
06 - Sprinkle the cinnamon-sugar mixture evenly over the peaches.
07 - Add a few drops of lemon juice to each peach half for a bright contrast to the sweetness. Sprinkle a pinch of salt over the peaches to balance the flavors.
08 - Cover the baking dish loosely with aluminum foil and place it in the preheated oven. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the peaches are tender and the sugar mixture has melted into a syrup.
09 - For a golden, crispy top, remove the foil in the last 5 minutes of baking.
10 - Once baked, remove the peaches from the oven and let them cool slightly before serving.

# Additional Notes:

01 - The peaches can be served as a dessert on their own or with a scoop of vanilla ice cream for extra indulgence.
02 - If you prefer a bit of crunch, top the peaches with a sprinkling of chopped nuts like pecans or walnuts before baking.
03 - These baked peaches are a great addition to a breakfast spread, especially when paired with yogurt or granola.
04 - Use ripe peaches for the best flavor and texture, as they will bake into a soft, juicy treat.
