Sweet, crunchy holiday treat with chocolate, peanut butter, and Chex, topped with powdered and sanding sugar.

# Ingredients List:

→ Dry Ingredients

01 - 9 cups Chex cereal

→ Chocolate Mixture

02 - 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
03 - 0.5 cup smooth peanut butter
04 - 0.25 cup unsalted butter
05 - 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

→ Coating

06 - 2 cups powdered sugar
07 - 1 cup festive sanding sugar

# How to Make It:

01 - Measure 9 cups Chex cereal and transfer to a very large mixing bowl. Set aside.
02 - In a medium saucepan over medium heat, melt chocolate chips, peanut butter, and butter, stirring constantly until completely smooth.
03 - Remove saucepan from heat and stir in vanilla extract. Let mixture cool for 2-3 minutes.
04 - Pour chocolate mixture over Chex cereal in three stages, folding gently after each addition to avoid breaking the pieces.
05 - Add powdered sugar and festive sanding sugar to a large airtight plastic bag. Seal and shake to combine evenly.
06 - Transfer coated cereal into the sugar mixture in batches, sealing and gently tossing to coat. Remove and place coated cereal onto a wax paper-lined rimmed baking sheet.
07 - Spread cereal pieces in a single layer and refrigerate for one hour to set.
08 - Once set, store in room temperature or chilled as preferred.

# Extra Tips:

01 - Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week, or freeze for up to six months.
