Add cherries, sugar, water, and salt to a saucepan. Cook while mashing cherries as they soften. Continue cooking until the liquid thickens slightly; it will thicken more upon cooling.

Strain the syrup from the cherries using a fine mesh strainer. Press the cherries against the strainer to extract as much liquid as possible.

Discard the strained cherries. Stir in lemon juice, vanilla extracts, and melted butter. Set the mixture aside to cool.

Stir 4 tablespoons of the syrup into 2 cups of cold Gold Peak Unsweetened Iced Tea. Adjust the quantity as needed by doubling or halving the recipe.

Serve the iced tea ice cold, preferably garnished with fresh cherries.
