01 - 
                Place the sugar cube in a rocks glass and add the Angostura bitters. If using simple syrup, pour it in instead. Muddle until the sugar dissolves. If needed, add a small splash of water to aid in dissolving the sugar.

                Pour the Four Roses Bourbon into the glass and gently stir to combine. Add a large ice cube or a few smaller ones to chill the drink while maintaining its strength.

                Twist the orange peel over the drink to release its oils. Run the peel around the rim of the glass, then drop it into the drink.
              
              
              
                04 - 
                Optionally, add a maraschino cherry for a touch of sweetness. Give the drink one final gentle stir, and enjoy.
