Bang Bang Chicken Skewers (Print Version)

Juicy chicken cubes brushed with homemade sweet-spicy bang bang sauce, perfectly cooked in an air fryer, oven, or grill.

# Ingredients:

01 - Wooden skewers, soaked in water for 30 minutes

→ Chicken

02 - 2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into 1-inch cubes
03 - 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
04 - 1 teaspoon paprika
05 - 1 teaspoon garlic powder
06 - 1 teaspoon kosher salt
07 - ½ teaspoon black pepper

→ Bang Bang Sauce

08 - 1 ¼ cups (290 g) mayonnaise
09 - ⅔ cup Thai sweet chili sauce
10 - 2 teaspoons Sriracha, or more to taste
11 - 2 tablespoons honey

# Steps to Follow:

01 - In a large bowl, combine the cubed chicken breasts, oil, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Toss to evenly coat the chicken.
02 - Working one skewer at a time, thread 4-5 chicken cubes onto each soaked wooden skewer.
03 - In a small bowl, combine the mayonnaise, Thai sweet chili sauce, Sriracha, and honey. Mix well until smooth and fully incorporated.
04 - Pour half of the sauce into a separate bowl and set aside to use after the chicken has been cooked. Use the remaining sauce to brush evenly over the chicken skewers.
05 - Add the skewers to the basket of your air fryer in a single layer, working in batches if necessary. Air fry at 400°F for 11-12 minutes, flipping halfway through cooking time.
06 - Ensure chicken is fully cooked by checking that it reaches an internal temperature of 165°F.
07 - Transfer the skewers to a plate and drizzle or brush with the reserved bang bang sauce. Serve immediately.

# Additional Notes:

01 - For oven method: Preheat oven to 400°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Place skewered chicken on the lined baking sheet without sauce. Bake for 20-25 minutes, flipping halfway, until internal temperature reaches 165°F. Brush with sauce after cooking.
02 - For grilling: Thread seasoned chicken onto skewers. Grill over medium-high heat for 8-10 minutes per side until internal temperature reaches 165°F. Brush with bang bang sauce after grilling.
