Vibrant Citrus Fruit Salad (Print Version)

A gorgeous medley of fresh fruits tossed with a simple citrus dressing - perfect for BBQs, potlucks, and holiday gatherings.

# Ingredients:

β†’ Fruit Salad

01 - 1 pineapple, peeled and cut into bite-size pieces
02 - 16 ounces strawberries, halved or quartered
03 - 5 to 6 kiwis, peeled and cut into bite-size pieces
04 - 1 pint blueberries, whole
05 - 2 cups red grapes, whole
06 - 2 cups green grapes, whole

β†’ Fruit Salad Dressing

07 - ΒΌ cup brown sugar or alternative sweetener (honey, agave, or maple syrup)
08 - 3 to 4 tablespoons orange juice, freshly squeezed
09 - 1 teaspoon orange zest
10 - 1 teaspoon lemon zest

β†’ Garnish

11 - Fresh mint sprigs, optional

# Steps to Follow:

01 - Wash all fruit thoroughly and remove any over-ripe pieces or debris. Peel and cut pineapple into bite-size pieces. Halve or quarter strawberries depending on size. Peel and cut kiwis into bite-size pieces. Leave grapes and blueberries whole.
02 - In a small bowl, combine the brown sugar (or alternative sweetener), orange juice, orange zest, and lemon zest. Stir until thoroughly mixed.
03 - In a large bowl, add all prepared fruit. Pour the dressing over the fruit and gently toss until evenly coated. Cover and refrigerate until ready to serve.
04 - Just before serving, toss the salad gently one last time and garnish with fresh mint sprigs, if desired.

# Additional Notes:

01 - This fruit salad is best served within 4 hours of preparation to maintain texture and freshness. Some fruits may discolor or soften after that time.
02 - If storing leftovers, use an airtight container and refrigerate for up to 3 days. Store the dressing separately if not serving within 3 to 4 hours and add just before serving.
