Taco Pasta Skillet Dinner (Print Version)

A hearty one-pot dinner combining ground beef, taco seasonings and pasta shells topped with melted cheddar cheese.

# Ingredients:

01 - 1 lb ground beef
02 - ½ cup finely chopped onion
03 - 2 medium cloves minced garlic
04 - 2 tbsp taco seasoning
05 - 1 tbsp tomato paste
06 - 2 cups beef broth or chicken broth
07 - 2 cups water
08 - 3 cups (10 ounces) medium shell pasta or other kind
09 - 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
10 - ½ tsp salt, if needed depending on taco seasoning and beef broth sodium levels

# Steps to Follow:

01 - In a large pan or deep skillet, cook the ground beef, onion, and garlic over medium-high heat for about 10 minutes, or until the beef is fully browned and the onion has softened. Use a wooden spoon to break the beef into pieces as it cooks.
02 - Stir in the taco seasoning, tomato paste, beef broth, and water. Mix well, cover, and bring to a boil.
03 - Once boiling, add the dry pasta and lower the heat to medium. Stir occasionally, cooking for 10-13 minutes or until the pasta is tender and the liquid has reduced.
04 - Remove from heat and mix in the shredded cheddar cheese. Stir until melted and evenly combined. Taste to see if additional salt is needed. Serve immediately.

# Additional Notes:

01 - Taco pasta can be easily customized by switching proteins, adding veggies, or using different cheeses to suit dietary needs and preferences.
