In a large pan or deep skillet, cook the ground beef, onion, and garlic over medium-high heat for about 10 minutes, or until the beef is fully browned and the onion has softened. Use a wooden spoon to break the beef into pieces as it cooks.

Stir in the taco seasoning, tomato paste, beef broth, and water. Mix well, cover, and bring to a boil.

Once boiling, add the dry pasta and lower the heat to medium. Stir occasionally, cooking for 10-13 minutes or until the pasta is tender and the liquid has reduced.

Remove from heat and mix in the shredded cheddar cheese. Stir until melted and evenly combined. Taste to see if additional salt is needed. Serve immediately.
