# Ingredients:

01 - 340 g pasta (penne, rigatoni, or any short pasta)
02 - 450 g sausage, sliced (Italian sausage, smoked sausage, or preferred type)
03 - 1 tablespoon olive oil
04 - 3 cloves garlic, minced
05 - 60 ml honey
06 - 60 ml soy sauce (low sodium recommended)
07 - 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
08 - 120 ml chicken broth
09 - 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
10 - 1 tablespoon butter
11 - 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
12 - Salt and pepper to taste
13 - Grated Parmesan cheese (optional, for serving)

# Steps to Follow:

01 - Cook pasta according to the package instructions in salted water until al dente. Drain and set aside, reserving about 120 ml of pasta water.
02 - Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add sliced sausage and brown on both sides for 5-7 minutes. Transfer sausage to a plate and set aside.
03 - In the same skillet, sauté minced garlic for 30 seconds to 1 minute until fragrant. Add honey, soy sauce, and apple cider vinegar, stirring until combined. Incorporate chicken broth and bring the mixture to a simmer, allowing it to thicken for 2-3 minutes. Add red pepper flakes if desired.
04 - Add browned sausage back into the skillet, stirring to coat in sauce. Simmer for 3-4 minutes to absorb flavors. Add cooked pasta and toss. Adjust sauce consistency with reserved pasta water as needed. Stir in butter for richness.
05 - Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper to taste. Garnish with freshly chopped parsley and grated Parmesan cheese if desired. Serve warm.
