# Steps to Follow:

01 - Preheat your oven to 175°C (350°F). Grease a 9×13-inch baking pan or two 9-inch round cake pans.
02 - In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the applesauce, vegetable oil (or melted butter), granulated sugar, brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract until smooth and well combined.
03 - In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, and salt.
04 - Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, folding them together with a spatula until just combined. Avoid overmixing.
05 - If using chopped nuts or raisins, gently fold them into the batter.
