Maple Garlic Bacon Chicken (Print Version)

Tender chicken wrapped in crispy bacon, glazed with sweet maple syrup and garlic for a perfect balance of savory and sweet flavors.

# Ingredients:

→ Main Ingredients

01 - 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
02 - 8 slices of bacon
03 - 1⁄4 cup of pure maple syrup
04 - 5 cloves of garlic, minced
05 - 1 tablespoon olive oil
06 - 1 tablespoon soy sauce
07 - 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
08 - Salt and pepper to taste
09 - Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish

# Steps to Follow:

01 - Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
02 - In a small bowl, mix together the maple syrup, minced garlic, olive oil, soy sauce, and Dijon mustard. Set aside this marinade.
03 - Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper on both sides.
04 - Wrap 2 slices of bacon around each chicken breast. You can use toothpicks to secure the bacon if needed.
05 - Heat an ovenproof skillet over medium heat. Once hot, sear the bacon-wrapped chicken breasts for about 3-4 minutes on each side until the bacon is crispy.
06 - Pour the maple garlic marinade over the chicken breasts in the skillet.
07 - Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the chicken is fully cooked and reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
08 - Remove the chicken from the oven and let it rest for a few minutes before slicing.
09 - Garnish with freshly chopped parsley before serving.

# Additional Notes:

01 - Ensure the bacon is well wrapped to prevent unwrapping during the cooking process.
02 - For a sweeter glaze, you can increase the quantity of maple syrup.
03 - This dish pairs well with roasted vegetables or mashed potatoes.
04 - Make a double batch of the marinade to use as a sauce or to drizzle over the chicken when serving.
05 - Chicken is a versatile protein here; try experimenting with different herbs like thyme or rosemary in the marinade for variation.
