Hawaiian Shoyu Chicken (Print Version)

Spicy, sweet, salty and sticky chicken thighs marinated in soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic and ginger - an authentic island favorite.

# Ingredients:

01 - 5 chicken thighs, bone-in and skin-on
02 - 3 tablespoons low sodium soy sauce
03 - 2 tablespoons water
04 - 1/4 cup packed brown sugar
05 - 2 cloves garlic, minced
06 - 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
07 - 1/2 yellow onion, minced
08 - 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes

# Steps to Follow:

01 - Combine all the ingredients in a large bowl or resealable plastic bag. Let the chicken marinate overnight in the refrigerator.
02 - Set the oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit (190 degrees Celsius).
03 - Place the marinated chicken in a baking pan and bake for 30-35 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 165 degrees Fahrenheit (74 degrees Celsius).
