Sweet Spicy Garlic Steak Pasta (Print Version)

Tender steak strips and pasta in a sweet-spicy garlic sauce topped with Parmesan cheese - ready in just 35 minutes.

# Ingredients:

01 - 1 pound (450g) steak (ribeye or sirloin), cut into thin strips
02 - 2 tablespoons olive oil, divided
03 - 4 cloves garlic, minced
04 - 1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
05 - 1 tablespoon soy sauce
06 - 1 tablespoon honey
07 - 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
08 - Salt to taste
09 - 8 ounces (225g) pasta (fettuccine or spaghetti recommended)
10 - 1⁄2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
11 - Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish
12 - Lemon wedges, for serving

# Steps to Follow:

01 - Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the pasta and cook according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
02 - In a large pan over medium heat, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil. Add the steak strips and season with salt and ground black pepper. Cook until the steak is browned but still tender, about 3-4 minutes. Remove from the pan and set aside.
03 - In the same pan, add the remaining tablespoon of olive oil. Add the minced garlic and crushed red pepper flakes, sautéing until the garlic is golden and fragrant, about 1-2 minutes.
04 - Stir in the soy sauce and honey. Mix well to create a sweet and spicy sauce. Let it simmer for an additional minute.
05 - Return the cooked steak strips to the pan and toss them to coat well with the sauce.
06 - Add the cooked pasta to the pan and toss until the pasta is evenly coated with the steak and sauce mixture.
07 - Sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese over the pasta and stir until it's melted and combined.
08 - Transfer the pasta to serving plates and garnish with freshly chopped parsley.
09 - Serve immediately with lemon wedges on the side for added freshness.

# Additional Notes:

01 - Adjust the amount of crushed red pepper flakes to control the level of spiciness.
02 - For a more robust flavor, let the steak marinate in soy sauce and garlic for 30 minutes before cooking.
03 - Substitute chicken or shrimp for steak if preferred.
04 - Add vegetables like bell peppers or spinach for extra nutrition and color.
05 - This dish pairs well with a crisp green salad or a glass of red wine.
