Fried Cheesecake Roll-Ups (Print Version)

Crispy bread rolls with cream cheese filling, fried golden and coated in cinnamon sugar for a quick, indulgent dessert.

# Ingredients:

→ Cream Cheese Filling

01 - 8 oz cream cheese, softened
02 - 1/4 cup powdered sugar
03 - 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

→ Roll-Ups

04 - 8 slices white sandwich bread, crusts removed
05 - 1/2 cup granulated sugar
06 - 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
07 - 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted (for brushing)
08 - Oil for frying (such as vegetable or canola)
09 - Optional toppings: whipped cream, chocolate sauce, or fresh berries

# Steps to Follow:

01 - In a mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
02 - Flatten each slice of bread with a rolling pin until thin. Spread about 1 tablespoon of the cream cheese mixture along one edge of each slice and roll tightly into a log.
03 - In a shallow bowl, mix the granulated sugar and cinnamon together.
04 - Heat 1 inch of oil in a skillet over medium heat until hot (about 350°F). Working in batches, fry the roll-ups seam-side down for 1–2 minutes per side or until golden brown and crispy.
05 - Remove with tongs and immediately roll in the cinnamon sugar mixture to coat.
06 - Serve warm with optional toppings like whipped cream, chocolate sauce, or fresh berries.

# Additional Notes:

01 - You can bake these instead of frying—just brush with melted butter, roll in cinnamon sugar, and bake at 375°F for 12–15 minutes until golden.
02 - Try adding a slice of strawberry or banana inside each roll before frying for a fruity twist.
