Best Ever French-Style Quiche (Print Version)

A creamy, savory French quiche with flaky crust, rich egg custard, Gruyère cheese and customizable fillings.

# Ingredients:

→ Crust

01 - 1 pie crust (store-bought or homemade)

→ Filling

02 - 6 large eggs
03 - 1 cup heavy cream
04 - 1 cup whole milk
05 - 1 cup shredded cheese (Gruyère, cheddar, or a blend)
06 - 6 strips cooked bacon, crumbled (optional)
07 - ½ cup diced ham (optional)
08 - ½ cup sautéed spinach (squeeze out extra moisture)
09 - ½ cup caramelized onion
10 - Salt and black pepper, to taste
11 - Pinch of nutmeg

# Steps to Follow:

01 - Preheat your oven to 190°C (375°F). Roll out your pie crust into a 9-inch quiche or pie dish. Trim and press the edges, then prick the base with a fork to prevent bubbling.
02 - Bake the crust for 8 minutes. Remove and set aside. This step keeps your crust crisp and prevents sogginess.
03 - In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, cream, milk, salt, pepper, and nutmeg. Stir in your cheese and any optional fillings like bacon, ham, spinach, or onions.
04 - Pour the custard mixture into your pre-baked crust. Place the quiche on a baking sheet and bake for 40–45 minutes, or until the center is just set and the top is lightly golden.
05 - Let the quiche cool for at least 10 minutes before slicing. Serve warm, at room temperature, or chilled.
